Showcart ("Showcart", "we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-native visual editing platform that integrates internal and third-party AI models to generate and edit images and videos (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service you accept this policy.

1. What We Collect

1.1 Data You Give Us

  • Account & Contact: Name, email, billing and mailing address, phone number.
  • Profile Data: Username, profile image, bio, preferences.
  • Payment & Transactional: Payment method and history (processed by our payment provider).
  • User Content / Uploads: Images, sketches, videos, prompts, captions, and related metadata.
  • Communications & Support: Messages, support requests, and other correspondence.
  • Marketing Preferences: Opt-ins, unsubscribes, and engagement metrics.

Do not upload sensitive data. Do not submit sensitive personal data (e.g., health, race, political opinions, national identifiers, biometric templates) through the Service unless you expressly confirm you have the right and legal basis to do so.

1.2 Data We Collect Automatically

  • Device & Usage: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, and usage telemetry.
  • Cookies & Trackers: Identifiers used for functionality, analytics and, where permitted, advertising. See our Cookie Notice.
  • Location: Coarse location from IP or device if you permit precise location sharing.

1.3 Data from Others

We may combine data you provide with information from public sources, partners, or third-party services (for example, if you sign in with Google or GitHub).

2. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including processing uploads, running models, and delivering results).
  • Personalize your experience and provide customer support.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions and credits (including credit rollovers and expirations).
  • Conduct analytics and product development, including improving models and moderation systems. Aggregated or anonymized outputs may be used for research and business purposes.
  • Send service messages (billing, security, account notices) and marketing (where you consent or where permitted).
  • Enforce Terms, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Model Training: By using Showcart you consent that anonymized, aggregated Inputs and Outputs may be used to improve our models and services. We will not intentionally publish Identifiable Personal Data as public training artifacts; do not upload content you don't have rights to or that you need kept confidential.

3. Legal Bases (EU/EEA Users)

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, we rely on one or more of:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide the Service and billing.
  • Legitimate Interests: Service security, fraud prevention, product improvement, analytics, and marketing subject to balancing.
  • Consent: Where required (e.g., certain cookies, direct marketing where local law requires).
  • Legal Obligation: When we must comply with law enforcement, tax, or regulatory requests.

4. Sharing and Disclosures

We may share personal data with:

  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, payment processors (e.g., Stripe), analytics, customer support tools, and AI providers.
  • Affiliates and Acquirers: In the event of a corporate transaction (sale, merger, asset transfer).
  • Legal & Safety: To comply with law, protect rights, or respond to lawful requests.
  • Public / Other Users: Content you post publicly or share with other users may be visible and re-usable by others.
  • Aggregated Data: Aggregated or anonymized data may be shared publicly or with partners.

We require vendors to use data only for the services they provide and to protect it consistent with this Policy.

5. Payments, Credits & Billing Notes

  • Payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Purchased credits roll over for 12 months from issuance; expired credits are removed. Credits and subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential site functionality
  • Analytics and product improvement
  • Optional personalization and advertising (with consent where required)

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described (service delivery, legal/compliance, tax, fraud prevention). User content removed by you will be made inaccessible promptly from user-facing surfaces; backups and logs may persist longer for operational or legal reasons. We purge or anonymize data when no longer needed.

8. Data Subject Rights (EU/UK/EEA & Similar)

Where applicable you may:

  • Access, correct, update, delete, or export your personal data.
  • Object to certain processing or ask for restriction.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. International Transfers

Showcart operates globally; data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. When we transfer data from the EEA/UK, we rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms. 10. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring) to protect data. No internet service is risk-free; we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a qualifying breach, we will notify regulators and affected users as required by law.

11. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or higher local age); if we learn we have collected such data, we will promptly delete it.

12. Third-Party Integrations & Model Providers

The Service uses third-party AI models and services (e.g., OpenAI, Stability, etc.) and third-party hosting and analytics. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices which apply when you use the related features. Showcart is not responsible for third-party practices or service availability.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and, for account holders, we will provide notice. Continued use after the change means you accept the revised policy.
